Level 10 Graphic Designer/Level 3 Homeowner

My posts have been slowing down as of late due to it being my busiest time of year at work and an over-abundance of homeowner responsibilities with our new (70 year old) home. I may not get back to regular posting until sometime in July. I will, however, be keeping up with my Swords & Wizardry campaign session recaps for those of you following along.

And so I'll leave you with something inspirational:

  1. Congrats on the new home! We just had a new roof put on our 60 year old house (2 years with us), and the central air decided that it didn't want to turn on this year.

That's a very cool picture. And I'm really enjoying the session write ups.

  2. I love old houses and I expected to have to do work on it but a few big issues in the 1st nine months took us by surprise. Oh well, just keep moving along. Do houses have saving throws?

I'm glad you like the session recaps. I should have another one posted in the next couple of days.

  3. I once owned an 80 year old adobe house in Tucson, just south of the university. It had 3'-thick mud walls - very cool place. It did require a bit of maintenance and TLC, however.

The best part about the house is that once I was renting out a room to a Peruvian man who swore he could see ghosts. He insisted the property was occupied by the spirit of a long dead cowboy. Apparently he could see the cowboy ghost standing outside the living room window just before dawn.

I also rented out a guest house to an eccentric cowboy fiddler/poet who was a David Letterman look-alike (even had a business card). He would wear his denim shorts (and nothing else), sit on a milkcrate in the front "yard" and type poems on his old typewriter... Gotta love Tucson!

Good luck with your new place! Looking forward to future posts, even if the frequency dips a bit!
